Sky, We also leave when gates open, however if you can stay on the perrimeter lots are happening before gate open time .

My early morning camps are Biyamiti as no one, and then Olifants and last but not least Satara. Just love Biyamiti where you have to open and close the gate by yourselves .

Definitely Tamboti/Maroela I have never heard Hyena calls as loud anywhere else, hearing them echo through the empty timbivati river bed is just so eary.

I also love Balule, there is just something about waking up an hearing the river flowing

Any morning waking up in the Kruger is a blessing but if we have to single out a camp must be Biyamiti - Going to Gorongosa in Mozambique this weekend - missing Kruger like crazy but will settle for Gorongosa

That is a toss between Olifants perimeter and Punda tents.... Can I choose both?

I have seen and heard cool things camping at the fence before the sun rises before gate opening!!
But no ways will I be in camp when the gates open

Berg & Dal......I never get the feeling that there is other people around us early morning.....

I love anywhere, but Lower Sabie does edge ahead.

If I am at the tents, I love to watch the river. If I am at the bungalows, the bird sounds are magic from the large ancient trees.

I find my contribution quiet in the very early morning, but it wakes up with aplomb from about 08h00.

That is of course Talamati. On the last 3 occasions I spent the morning just sitting in the hide looking over the waterhole watching Impala, Zebra, Wildebeest, Kudu, Waterbuck, Buffalo, Sable and baboon coming down to drink. The fence around Talamati is also very active in the mornings with Elephant and Kudus coming right up to the fence on the riverbed side of the camp almost daily. (Whenever I was there at least)

Leaping Lizards. We have also been lucky at this Camp for good early morning sightings.

Another camp is Shingwedzi, lots of birds and loads of Kruger atmosphere.
