As a kid a wrote where we saw something special
Lions twice and ellies only once
(not many ellies around in those days)

This is Sunny-Boy, he is very cool! We found him at Berg-en-Dal.


He is named after a guide at Satara.
On his fight to UK.

Some time back in the 1980s I bought a piece of curtain/beadspread fabric at the shop at Lower Sabie, the brown one with impala lilies and birds on that used to be in every room. I think it has the Sanparks logo on too. I must make something from it and use it.

the best souvenir were mini elephants with their trunks up, but they were stolen.

Esp the kill outside the Skukuza gate in 1994 as we checked out and was on our way back to Jozi. Lion dropped right next to our car waiting..... and waiting.... April heat with closed windows and no aircon = bad idea

So, at the moment, all my souvenirs that really mean something to me are my memories of all the trips we went on with my dad until his passing in 1994.

I am going to shop till I drop next year to get some that are awesome.

the costs wont cost more than that of a funeral service

My best souvenir was seeing a pack of Wild Dogs that I had to wait 28 years to see.
