My coolest souvenir are my maps dated April 20th 1981(When we had our honeymoon) , and all my other old maps of Kruger. In those days the maps were large, meaning that the south was on one side and the north on the other side. We used to mark all our sightings on the map. I will treasure them forever!!!!

We picked up rhino dung in a non Sanparks game reserve...if we got caught and banned from that park, my heart would have stand it. But I am mightily scared that they could catch us in Kruger, and probably ban us, and THAT my heart could never have stand!!!!!

I have also got that map Mama, and I think it cost 15 cents!

Also ellie dung paper, the big 5 drawn on it by a artist, bought in 1999.
Displayed behind a glass frame in the ...............toilet.


And every map, the oldest from the 70ties

I have got a map with a 30 cents price tag on it. It is a fold out map with a small map of Kruger on the front page. No Berg-en Dal but Shawo resting spot, Kemps cottage and Punda Milia.

I have one of those old cloth Kruger maps exactly like the one Freda has pictured here.
It hangs right next to my computer and I use it as reference when reading about various places on the forum.
I am really not sure how old it is but is in very good condition.

We had one until about 2 years ago- without the 'new' camps on it.

Must ask Mrs where it is.

My coolest souvenir was the genuine Buffalo leather wallet that Elzet bought me in Skukuza when I have introduced her to Kruger in 1984. I have used it for approximately 27 years and had to replace it a few days ago due to wear and tear!

My coolest souvenir from Kruger is a lunch menu from the Letaba Camp Restaurant from the 1980’s. I am not sure how the menu’s was reproduced back then but it looked like it was typed on a typewriter. Perhaps it was a full time job in those days for someone to type the menu’s for breakfast, lunch and dinner

Mine would be hair from the mane of a lion taken from a bush whilke on foot in the KNP .

Mine would be a table cloth with all differenty animals and protea's on, excellent quality material bought in 1984 and still using. Sadly the old type of souvenir's are not available anymore.

Mine is a set of epaulettes of the old National Parks Board and a piece of dung set in perspex, with a label on it. It reads "Genuine Africa Elephant Bullsh*t"

Wow! I wouldn't be brave enough to take a lion out of a bush!

My fave souvenir didn't come from KNP as such. It's a much read copy of A South African Eden (by you-know-who) that I bought for 50 pence (R6) in a charity shop in UK.

Brummie , treasure that book , they are scarce !!

Oh I do! Believe me - it's precious (even thouh it wasn't expensive)!
