We've only to wait until Friday evening! :D
Besides packing, but that's easy as we have The List, we have to look at previous years bird photos where we'd worked what it was we'd got a good enough photo of and try to remember it ready for this trip.
After years of helping the kids with revision this is the type of "revision" I'm happy to spend hours at.

It is amazing how good we become at identifying birds by the end of a park trio, but forget totally before the next time. (too many Amarulas or too many years OR both!) There are certain groups i just cant get in my head, like the swallow/swift/martins. I learn all about them every time and then have to start again from scratch. I like your idea of swatting up before leaving, but luckily it's not an exam!

Enjoy !

Sure you will find it will all come back to you as soon as you are in the park!
Wishing you a wonderful trip!

No matter how much I revise, without my bird book my 'bird brain' can't contain all the differences. I particularly struggle with the raptors. They are all big brown jobbies to me.

Hope you have a super time with lots of new bird species to keep you scratching you heads for names

I'll be following you a week later.

Have a great trip.

Jacqui and Phil, have a really wonderful trip :D

I find that the park is ever changing, and when we go back to spots we found amazing birds at before, they are not there any longer! Perhaps seasons have something to do with this, and I also think the amount of water around.
