Seen on foot ... just 2 humans and about 500 buffalo ...

I had a dream.......

I saw the day ending, & heared the francolins calling

I had a dream
- where I heared the first call of a nightjar

I had a dream
-sitting in my favorite chair, in front of the restaurant

I had a dream
-where I heared the elephant breaking some brances close to the fench

I had a dream
-where the sun finally gave in, losing it's battle in a majestic array of colours

I had a dream, where I could sit there forever, where the sunset stalled and the colours froze. I had a dream where the sounds of the scops owls, the crickets, and the smell of thatch will stay forever.

If it only wasn't a dream.......

Just going through my pics, withdrawal symptoms getting bad again.
Thought I'd share this one with you all, taken in the early morning light on the S28 in June this year.

...after a long, rewarding day travelling the park...returning to camp to enjoy the sunset (weaver nests hanging from the baobab in Mopani camp)....



...and then to settle down for the evening with the glorious smell of mopani wood burning and listening to the scops owls calling to announce the warm african night ....*dreaming of africa*

Hi Hans, So glad you got the Africa bug and now come back often, its the only cure!
but in the meantime, to help the time pass, another little

Even the algae is growing in the Satara trough

I f anyone is missing Kruger and wants a real dose of nostalgia this is the Topic for it, some stunning pics in it and now I am so "homesick" all I want to do is get in the car and rush there!
