Enlighten me - how did you manage to be there at sunset?

I was in the Makuleke concession (the area in KNP north of the Luvuvhu river) for a 28-day safari guide course. We had unrestricted access to that area so we could basically have sundowners anywhere :D

 How did I miss this thread for so long?
My most magical moments in all of my life have been sundowners in Kruger. I have been blessed to have experienced them in many places.
I love Olifants... my wish is to experience many more there...
I like to have a sense of space.

I am going in lent Freda.
We all know that the first miracle was turing water into wine... I intend to honour that special moment in time.

LS Deck, excellent view, good and cold drought or from the deck of the Safari Tents of Punda Maria after the diner or braai.

Hi

I love sitting at Lower Sabie on the deck of the Safari Tents looking over the river. Listening to the Hippos (Who else thinks they sound like Harley Davidsons?) quietly meditating and breathing in the stillness. By the way the photo of the river at Crooks Corner when was that taken. Last time I was there it was virtually dry

Best sunset has to be the High level bridge near Shingwedzi camp... if that's not possible then anywhere on a Wilderness Trail!

I agree with you: this place is pure magic! Especially since you're looking west and you can see the sun go down over the dam and the Letaba river! In november we enjoyed it with a glass of cap Classique! We sat next to each other and said almost nothing for about 30 minutes! (had to hurry back to camp than but without speeding).
