You getting warmer. The river is correct but not the place. You will find find two neighbours there, but not Crooks.

Must be Mapungubwe , near to (east of ?) the boardwalk .

Forestgump you're spot on with the position where the pic was taken and Ndloti you also correct with the area.

As its an open quizz anyone can go ahead with a post of somewhere in Sanparks.

From that pic its nearly impossible to get any clues and I have better luck to tell you where they got the boots from than the park.

Perhaps from Lubbes in Stellenbosch?

Now I am just guessing the Sanpark, maybe Kruger on the Olifants Trail.

Now that you mention it the boots do look like Trailbusters .



There is a "oh so cute" story behind this , the suricate was found in Vaalbos by a ranger who later was a trails ranger in the KNP .
Digger accompanied him on many wilderness trails , walking most of the way . he was an excellent predator spotter , long before we could see one he would sound the alarm and expect to be picked up to the relative safety of human hands.
As can be expected with wild animals Digger later became antisocial towards humans and his wilderness trail days came to an end .
