Well one thing I can say with certainty is that it is a type of Eragrostis.

I would take a guess and say Eragrostis superba (Saw tooth love grass), but I think that we will have to see the leaves to make a sure i.d.

Imberbe, no leaves at the moment. I took this shot this morning.

I would say Wheat.

that is Eragrostis Superba (saw-tooth love grass) . You can see by looking at the "saw" like edges of the seeds. Eragrostis capensis has a "soft" edge. And Eragrostis Racemosa has a more longer type seed.

Maybe Phragmites australis?

More commonly know as the Common Reed / Fluitjiesriet. The plant species with the widest distribution throughout the world, and yes ... it is a (big) grass.

I would think that would be Eragrostis curvula (Oulandsgras / Weeping love grass).
