The closest I have come to staying in Mopani is the 5 (6?) times I have stayed at Shipandane .
KNP is sacred. I am opposed to the modernisation of Kruger and from the depths of my soul long for the Kruger of yesteryear! 1000+km on foot in KNP incl 56 wild trails.200+ nights in the wildernessndloti-indigenous name for serval.

Not Shipandane , but it is a quieter place - nearing the limit of upside down tree distribution ...

Ndloti , how far from the fence ? I am trying to identify the tree from " google earth ".
As I recollect , there's a sausage tree inside the fence , and a baobab just outside , but it appears your tree could be a little further away , and not right at the fence :hmz:

Anyone willing to post a photo here?? Ndloti do you want to try another? When my grandson comes to visit again I will get him to show me how to post - in the meanwhile I will just have fun trying to guess.
