Hoi Whiteman,

Im sorry to hear about your grandmother. I remember you went over to visit her back in Januari.

I had a search on internet but there is not something which is helpfull..
It almost seems to me that the term or name Hissing ant is a non official name, or a name that is used for several different species..
I had a look and according to the information I could find is the Matabele ant not the same as the Safari ant...

Hope someone can help out here.

Have a good holiday guides! Hope you'll be back in the bush coming season.
Let me know!

Kazi njema (enjoy yr work)

PS. come tell us, how does Selous look like at the moment???
Rain, good rain, river in flood?? What about the building??
What about the leopard cubs, seen????

Asante John Whiteman and other Guides

Apologies, I have not been around lately, but happy to see that you are receiving very welcome rains after the drought.

Perhaps I've missed it, but what happened to the leopard cubs whose mum was killed? Any update?

Take care and kind regards

Elzet

Habari ya pumzika Mzee Haule, Whiteman, Fanuel, Erick, Daimon, Oscar, Isaya and Furahini?
(How is your rest/holiday?)

Thanks for keeping us informed as to what the plans are Furahini!

We hope to hear from all off you again in about two months time! Being in Selous or somewhere else!

In South-Africa it is getting colder. We are approaching the winter, which is much colder then you have it in Selous! I hear they have had some rain in Kruger National Park area!
The bush is comepletely different compared to Selous! In time I hope I will be able to post some pictures to show you all.. Maybe there are others who can upload some?!

Please send my regards to all!

Mungu akubariki.
