I doubted myself before posting this but, on my last trip witnessed two cheetah climb much higher into a tree than I would previously have imagined and not on a fallen trunk but a huge marula, and one did defecate :hmz:

Cheetah indeed!

Cheetah as a rule use trees as territorial markers. The devicate and urinate in the tree, on a branch to leave their scent. They do the same on the KNP road markers!
