Richterveld National Park - Malmokkies are mist banks, also known as Hurries by the Nama, that roll in from the cold Benguela Current along the region's west coast to supplement the meagre annual rainfall - less than 100mm - refreshing the inland ecosystems.

What about Namakwa NP as well as an answer to the previous question?

Good question.

In the Richtersveld, locals call it 'Ihuries' or 'Malmokkies' and it makes survival possible for a range of small reptiles, birds and mammals.

So if the locals in the Namaqua National Park also call incoming fog/clouds, Malmokkies then I would agree that the Namaqua National Park also be a correct amswer.

A bit of trivia; some people also refer to Guinea Pigs as Malmokkies.

Forest and Phokojwe you are correct. I was browsing over the weekend in SANParks Capture Experience book compiled from photos taken by visitors to the Arid parks and found the pic on the dogs quite interesting.

Well done FG, Phokojwe.  Hope these dogs are adept at finding speckled padloper tortoises, as I'd dearly love to see one at some stage of my life.

In FG's absence let me try one :hmz:

Which park has a prominent landmark (granite dome) measuring around 700 metres (2,300 ft) by 100 metres (330 ft) and 30 metres (98 ft) high.?

The only granite outcrop that I can think of that is that massive is perhaps Moon Rock in Augrabies National Park?

Moon Rock: A massive exfoliation dome or “whaleback” which is a prominent landmark of Augrabies Falls. Walking to the summit will give one of the best views of the park and its surroundings.
