A woman has incontestable proof in court that her husband was murdered by her sister. Both the woman and her sister are sitting before the judge. The judge scratches his head and concludes, "This is the most bizarre case I've ever seen. Though it's obvious what needs to be done, this woman before me cannot be punished." How can this possibly be?

I love this thread!

Heres one:

A man is being sentenced, and the judge says to him, "You may make a statement. If it is true, I'll sentence you to three years in prison. If it is false, I'll sentence you to five years in prison." After the man made his statement, the judge decided to let him go free. What did the man say?

anitagibbs

The man said "You'll sentence me to five years in prison." If it was true, then the judge would have to make it false by sentencing him to three years. If it was false, then he would have to give him five years, which would make it true. Rather than contradict his own word, the judge set the man free. 8)
