The back-thingy confuses me. Lets say I'd go for serval. 4 toes, no nails...

Okay, the only animals I can think off making that back print, is a Honey badger and a porcupine. BUT honeybadger, which is my first choice, has 5 toes.
I do think I can see nail imprints :?

If not looking at the back thinghy - I'd say Hyaena

I will go for wilddog :?
I think I can see nails and I am ignoring the back thingy, wish we knew the size.
I find it is more distinct if I reduce it to 50%

Just remeber the shape of toes, the spaces between the toes....the X rule, and the shape of the spoor, either circular like the civet(Cats)or oval like a dog, and Hyaena........ :D The claws dont always show up in a spoor, and so you have to try work you way around with the other info you are given! :D

The 'back thingy' is what you need to differenciate spoor  Try look at it next time(It will help), but well done on the Hyaena guess... Honey Badger and Porcupine have a pad below the big/heel pad(Intermediate pad) we have been looking at in the first too spoors! These pads are known as Proximal pads. :D

Rosemary! Thanks very much! I wont be around, so you can post your pictures on this thread, or E-mail them to me, st_rustyjusty@hotmail.com and I'll have a look! :D

THE ANSWER FOR THE LAST SPOOR IS UP!!!
