There is a three weeks pre-musth-condition, about one month high-musth, and one post-musth condition, i.e. ± 3 months, or more specific, 2 months and 3 weeks.

 Still not multiple choice, but here goes...

Facts about Elephants - True or False please
A) Male elephants weigh to between 3 and 5 tonnes.

F - 5 tonnes+

B)Trunk wieghs about 50kg and has 20,000 individual muscle units.

F - don't know about the weight, but I believe it is more, but the number of muscle units are at least double.

C) Musth can last 6 months in a dominant male.

F - I think this is false. Long, but not this long. About two-and-a-half months if I'm not mistaken.

D) Elephants have up to 6 sets of teeth which are replaced throughout their life.

T - last set worn down, the poor ele literally dies of hunger.

E) The word elephant means ' great arch'

T

F) There are only two species of elephant in the world.

F  (Or was it a sub-species again... :hmz:  )

Thanks for answers all.
A)False -males weigh up to 7 tonnesB
B) F - trunk can weigh up to 130kg & has 40 - 50ooo muscle units
C , D, E - all true
F) is false- though maybe a bit contraversal -apparently there are 4 species as DNA has shown that the pigmy ellie is not asian & forest ellie is not same as savannah (see mammals.suite101.com)-very interesting read.

Spotted cat - you had 6/6 - YOU ARE IT

:wall:

Eich ... OK, I am splitting this in to two quizzes ... a Multiple Question quiz, which you guys have been perfecting, and a Multiple Choice Quiz, which this is supposed to be!

Please try and keep to the theme ...

:hmz:

 I had a good look at this whole thread. Yes, I read all 37 pages!

I have come to the stunning conclusion that we have actually developed three different types of quizzes here:

1. The Multiple Choice
2. The True and False
3. The Multi Question

I have also realized that it would be very time consuming for me to try and split them in to separate threads!

So for the sake of order, practicality and to save me a whole lot of time ... I am going to start three new quizzes. Follow the links above ...
