OK, lemme change some answers (highlighted) here then...

a) False. They don't have teeth at all.
b) False. The tongue is actually rooted in the hyoid bone and extend past their pharynx deep into the thorax!!

I'll stck with the rest.

c) False. They cannot shoot their quills. Loose ones may fall out, and those sticking into something can pull out.
d) False? I know they eat bones to get the calcium, but building with them? Don't think so. Will look at the books tonight at home. Added: They do take it home. But as body-building material, not home-building material
e) True? If it can hammer into a hardwood tree it must be capable of also hammering a snake! Where it is capable in terms of reaction time I don't know.
   Bishop3006, You're it!

Skillie, my man, so close, yet so far. :( Sorry. The tongue is retracted into a special sheath in the chest as pointed out by Bishop3006.

Thanks Elzet - nice questions there! Makes one think. Often one "knows" something. Somebody will say and you'll know it. But let them ask and suddenly you don't know it and can't remember it.

Let's see. Easy one.

Arrange the following three sounds in order of softest to loudest. Options are given so only one answer:

a) Bat sonar
b) Gunshot
c) Lion roar

Options:

i) a-b-c (bat, gun, lion)
ii) a-c-b (bat, lion, gun)
iii) b-a-c (gun, bat, lion)
iv) b-c-a (gun, lion, bat)
v) c-a-b (lion, bat, gun)
vi) c-b-a (lion, gun, bat)

Okey-dokey, I'll see if I can come up with a non-technical answer

Forgot to expand on my answer:

Bat - 70 to 100 decibels (Lots of bats - equals to a rock concert it says on one of the websites)

Lion - 114 to 115 decibels

Gunshot - 140 to 170 decibels.

I'd say option (i): bat, gun, lion. Bats sounds are soft and tolerable around camps at night; a gun shot is loud, but short; and lion roars, though their decibel level is lower than an average gunshot, is far more earth-shaking.

I'm going to go with bat, gun, lion.
The bat is almost undecipherable to the human ear, the gun is short and explosive but the lion has a penetrating roar that close up( just videoed mating lions) is ear piercing! :D

Sorry, tried to post last night but the site was so slow I gave it up as a bad job. :x
Bat - 70 to 100 decibels (Lots of bats - equals to a rock concert it says on one of the websites)

Lion - 114 to 115 decibels

Gunshot - 140 to 170 decibels.
Elzet, almost correct. Except for the first one. Remember I said bat's sonar. And I asked loudest - didn't say anything about the human ear!

So, the lion is the softest at Elzet's ~114dB
Next is the gunshot in the range of 110 up to more than 140dB
A bat's sonar, just 15cm in front of it, can be as high as 300dB, and is often around the 170dB. Some, like the low fliers, almost whisper at around 54dB.

But we don't hear this and it doesn't bother us at all as this happens at frequencies way beyond our hearing, most bats working around 20kHz (the absolute top of our hearing) up to 80kHz. Some go as low as 4kHz (which we can hear) while others go up to 210kHz.

Can you imagine what hell we'd be going through if we could hear those booms? We'd all be deaf! Isn't God's creation wonderful?

So the answer is actually vi

Elzet, you came closest, so you're IT
