It's common name is quite sweet sounding, its 'olives' are to be avoided ????

Philip1,no, they have been planted elsewhere though.

If you go to Storms River you will find them in the forest. :hmz:

I was thinking of the wild olive tree, but those fruits are not poisonous. Any more clues for the arborially challenged, please, FG. :wink:

FG, what is confusing me somewhat is the idea of "sweet sounding". I thought perhaps of cherrywood, but can't find a reference to poisons associated with it. :wall:

Lol! This is an easy one! This tree found in Kruger and other parts of Southern Africa has a cousin that is found right here in the desert of Dubai... which is often found growing around ponds or wadis. Which tree or shrub am I thinking of? Name both trees.
