This tree is utilised by man as amongst other uses it contains an oil which provides a good light when burned .

This tree is known as "the bandage of the bush." It also has excelent wood for a braai, makes the most beautiful flower and is hated by many people.

Which tree and why is it called "the bandage of the bush"?

Is it the dressing used or the bandage that covers the dressing ? :hmz:

Agapanthus is used as a bandage over a dressing.

A guess. The Sickle Bush has bark that could be made into twine or with imagination, a bandage could be made with the fibre.
