They are quite common but can often be found on the granite soils plains in areas around Afsaal and Nhlanguleni.
Imberbe = Combretum imberbe = Leadwood = Hardekool = The spirit of the Wildernis!

Cattle eat the leaves of this highveld tree, but it taints the milk. Roasted seeds can be a coffee substitute.Deep red fruit ripens January to June ??????
