Well three options here:

1. It is the five digit Sausage tree hyrax.

2. You need to learn to express yourself better!

3. It is the Aardvark.

Pick your choice!

Apologies for the delay; I was inadvertently AWOL for a week. Missed you all.

It is indeed a learning-to-express-myself-better-five-digit-Sausage-tree-hyrax-aardvark.

 YOU'RE IT, Imberbe.

Lets see what Imberbe comes up with.
Watching the slow flow of the river. A continues movement of water down towards the ocean. Like blood flowing through a vein, keeping the body alive.

Guides in SANParks have to study the spoor they see very carefully. Should they find rhino spoor, that rings especially true.

If the two side toes fall outside the circumference of the big pad, they will follow the spoor. Should they however fall inside, they will walk the other way.

Explain ...

:hmz: the way you put the info i would suggest the following..

white rhino is the bigger nephew of the black rhino. they weigh more and thus the toes will be more splayed out due to the weight.

so a track with the side toes falling outside the circumference of the big pad is most probably a white rhino. a white rhino inhabits more open areas wich is suitable terrain to walk in. white rhinos are less agressive then black rhinos. when disturbed white rhinos normally run away and turn around and investigate from a safe distance.

Black rhino is smaller, lighter and inhabits more wooded areas. not ideal for taking guests..
the black rhino is lighter and the side toes will fall inside the circumference of the big pad.
this species is know for the agressiveness. when disturbed they often come towards the source of disturbance to 'sort the problem out' themselves. making them dangerous to follow, especially with the thicker bush which gives less visibility.
all together not safe to track a black rhino..

that is what i would guess.....

thanks Imberbe :D

Because i wont be on the forum a lot for the coming 3 weeks, i will post ask an easy question and ask Imberbe to point out the first right answer.

Question:
By only looking at an elephant track in which 2 ways can you determine its direction?

Enjoy, i will be back later.
