MarkWildDog : congrats! You're catching up. I like the gut you have not to copy others, it got you points!

a) Who am I?

b) Describe my diet.

c) Do I have any scent glands? Why (2)?

This one was tricky...
Wild about cats wrote: a) Who am I?

Waterbuck

Wild about cats wrote:b) Describe my diet.

Mainly grazers, feeding on a variety of short and medium grasses, including reeds and rushes. When grass is in poor quality they will browse leaves fruit and herbs. Water dependant

Wild about cats wrote:c) Do I have any scent glands? Why (2)?

No, because bulls have a characteristic, pungent musty odour which is secreted by the sebaceous glands. They are also non-territorial nad know what habitats to find each other.

:naughty: No copying Christo & Jonty1.

hey WAC :D Welcome back

a) Gemsbok (Oryx gazella)

b) Feeds on grasses and herbs, juicy roots, fruits, melons, leaves, buds, and bulbs. Can go without water for several days but drink at streams and waterholes when water is available. Oryx are experts at finding water and often dig into dried river beds to access ground water. In dry periods, oryx also dig up fruits and roots containing water.

c) preorbital scent glands, and Interdigital Glands

Oops I was so sure that you would not ask the same animal twice and everything fitted in perfectly, but I've not seen the omnivorous part.

I am a little pressured for time, therefor would probably not be able to take part in further quizzies soon, but would like to take the time to thank you for your efforts WAC.

If you can find an angel to take over from me, she can have the points I've collected so far. (As a true Muskateer I do have a soft spot for the Angels)
