The only way I know of doing this with my limited maths experience is to put the post in the center of the circle and make the rope about 35.355m long. The hippo will then eat exactly half of the area :dance:

Back-of-a-fag-pack reconning brought me to the square root of 3125 which is around 55.9m. Image I have a suspition that in order to calculate the EXACT radius will require a part of my maths (probably some integrals) that started rusting up some 30-odd years ago.
