Would have to say Olifants View Point as I have very warm and fuzzy memories of a wonderfully romantic proposal there! :wink:

Difficult , but here are a few :
Tshanga - spent hours on rocks after climbing down below the edge with my lunch , camping matress , book and binoculars .
Tambotie - braaied there before the camp was built , subsequently stayed there at least 20 nights .
Nkumbi - spent most of the day there on more than 1 occasion .

Probably the best was seeing the sun rise from the top of Shirimatanga .

Isn't the best spot in the park the one where you've lately had your fondest memories?

Been to the park more times than I can remmember, but still return with a new favourite each time.

Sentimental: Lowers Sabie Camp - the elephant bench on the grass overlooking the river. That's where my wife & I met!
Relaxing: Letaba Camp - from the river to the animals in the camp
Beautiful: Nkulu

:twisted: :lol: Agree with you, Saraf.....

My favourite is Tshange look-out (on the rocks), where the eagles soar past you, miles and miles of Paradise lay stretched out in front of you, and your spirit becomes totally free....

It is such a mystical, magical place!

EISH.......

My favourite would be one of these:

* Olifants lookout deck
* Olifantsriver bridge
* Crook's Corner
* Pafuri picnic place
* Nkulu picnic spot
* Nkaya-dam near Satara

I don't know how to choose! :?

Responding to the question asked about what you have seen from Nkumbe, I would ask what is the best sightings you had from any viewpoint/hide.

My best would be :

1. Matambeni Hide. Leopard came to drink water, but frightened by crocodile, and then catches impala after chasing 3 dagga boys away.(August 2007)

2. Lion walking along the riverbed while I am having bfast at Lower Sabie. (August 2007)

3. Ele's having a drink and bath and interacting with Hippo at Sweni Hide. (August 2007)
