A popular month with school holidays usually falling mostly in July.
The camps are alive with young voices!
These trips to K.P.are wonderful for children, viewing the animals and sharing family time.
I think they install a lifelong desire to return and relive the memories created in their youth.
With the weather a little chilly, the blanket on the bed keeps us cosy and with the gate only opening at 6 a.m., there is not such a rush to get going!

Thanks for the thread Kite.
So far, my adventures into KNP have been in July.
We deliberately book the weeks after school holidays to have a tranquil time of it.

We have loved it in the past, but would like to explore other times in the park, especially September, October or November.
Just before the good rains, when it's warmer and gate times stretched longer.

Wouldn't mind another July trip though.

We're having our first ever visit this July so very excited :D

Just a couple of questions? Would it be too cold to braai in the evenings and what time does it start to get dark?

It's never too cold to braai! Just huddle closer to the fire.
There can be a cold snap for a day or two but we have experienced warm sunny days.
Who can give an accurate time of darkness. I think by about 5:30 p.m it's getting dark.
