I don't think I have managed a visit in October yet, so please share what you have found!

I would love to know what I can excpect during the last week of October? Might be going to Kruger and was wondering which camps/areas start greening first should we be lucky enough to have some rain before the week of the 25th. Any fellow mites with suggestions? I have only been during April and June so am holding thumbs like mad that it won't be a late dry year but that some rains may come maybe middle Oct. Would absolutely love to see some of the fresh green sprouts but I know it's up to nature on that one

If I had the luxury of choosing a time of year for a Kruger visit, October would not be a primary option Extreme doses of rain pouring down can be frustrating. When we were there the animals hid away from the thundershowers, and all the dirt roads closed because they were too slippery and dangerous for the cars.

The blooming of the flowers was beautiful though Still, the summer flowers can be seen in Nov/Dec, In my experience the rainfall in Nov/Dec has been fair November is superb as you get all the young lambs

Just before the rains come in September is also a superb time to be in the Park! The dryness lends itself towards great numbers of animals being seen
