Hi Glen

They must do. The back up on the walk we did from Mopani about three weeks ago was a guide from Shingwedzi who was working at Mopani until Shingwedzi camp opens again.

Look here for link to Tariff List - Shingwedzi has Morning Walks listed.

Thanks DB
I managed to download the PDF after posting this (intermittent connectivity issues :sniper: )

Would be interesting to know other mites experiences in doing a walk from this camp.

PLEASE HELP...
I am trying to make a reservation for Shingwedzi for 2014.
I am looking at the descriptions of BD2 and it says they no longer have a veranda. I called head office to confirm and they told me that some changes have been made since the floods and that I should call the camp directly.
I have tried to call they but I do not get a reply.

Please can someone help. BD2 used to be in the B circle eg 34 & 35. Do they still have a veranda ?????

Dear Jen

Please note that the BD2 still have verandas. The only change that we are currently implementing is converting BD5 into BD3.

Thanks Stephens.

Perhaps you could change the description on the website to avoid further confusion as it states hat only unit 69 now has a veranda.

Hi all

We visited Shingedzi in June and I took a few pictures of the camp. They are still busy with reconstruction, and soon the camp will be fully operational.

Shingwedzi is back up and running, accommodation neat and clean and looks new. The shop has been beautifully redone. Sorry I did not take a photo of it but its nice.

The trees on the road leading into the camp are all still standing, the hide at kanniedood is nearly rebuilt so let the good times roll.

I have just returned from a long stay in the KNP. Planning to do my trip report a bit later but I have to say this, Shingwedzi was an absolute revelation. I was so amazed because the last time I stayed there it wasnt good. But "WOW" the accomdation was superb, so clean and organised with crisp bedding and gleaming utensils. But the best part was just the whole general presentation of the camp and and attitude of the staff - organised, friendly and a great atmosphere - no other camp came close - wish I had spent the whole time there.

Having just booked our December 2014 trip , we will be in Shingwedzi for 2 nights in type BD3 accommodation, I would like to know if the accommodation is round "hut" type or is the accommodation in dormitory style
