We're staying in a BG2 hut in December and I just want to find out if there are "braaiers" at these units? From the pictures it doesn't look like.

Anja, none of the bungalows there have their own individual braai's.
There is a communal braai area which is nice in that one gets to meet others and chat about the days sightings etc.
Can get very social at times. 8)
Usually the little Genets join you as well begging shamelessly!
Only the safari tents have their own braai.

Thanks Elsa

We have changed our booking to the safari tents. Would you suggest that I move it back to the bungalows?

I have never stayed in the safari tents before Anja, would love to one day but we have always been 3 people so needed the extra bed.
but from all accounts the tents seem great, as Anne-marie has said.
So, no I wouldn't change your reservation necessarily.
It would also depend if you are sensitive to the heat as the tents only have electric fans whereas the bungalows have air conditioning and December can get pretty hot in that part of the world!

No road access from the south , access is only possible from the Maluleke concession area , one must be a guest of one of the private lodges there .

I had booked at Pafuri Camp, but sadly the camp has been badly damaged and now it's closed for the year!

Hi everyone :yaya:

We've booked a safari tent in Punda for the first time. We would like some advice please. We would really like to ask for the tent with the biggest veranda. We are having friends over for a braai that night and with 8 people we really need the space. Can anyone assist please and it would be great if you have some pictures for us.

In July we are heading back to kruger and I will update the accommodation thread with lots and lots of new photo's. Can't wait

I hope someone is able to help you! I thought the decks were all the same size with varying lengths of walkways.

Hi Marijke:

I've only been in tents 1, 2, and 3, but I'm thinking that #3 has a markedly larger deck than the other two (but the view from #2 is better  ). Kite is right that the lengths of the walkways also differ, #3's walkway is quite a bit longer than 1 (which is the disbled unit, so designed for easier access) or 2.

I was in 3 of them... seems to be all the same... only the way to go was different, one with stairs (all the tents in North are with stairs)

Thanks Kite and Arks :gflower:

I don't really mind how far we have to walk and even the view. That is all a plus, but it's mainly the size of the deck. Who has been to numbers 4 - 7. Anyone bigger than number 3? Otherwise we're going to try for number 3
