I have also requested this unit for january 2013 and all i did was sending an e-mail which they replied on after a few days and confirmed it is booked for me.

Last year I emailed the camps 8 months in advance for specific units and they were more than happy to accommodate us!

Some of the camps do not have email.
I always phone the camp directly and discuss the unit I want and in some instances am told to send a fax.
I imagine it will be difficult for you to phone so perhaps just send a fax to them, I think all the fax numbers for individual camps are available.

What would be the best way to request a specific bungalow in a camp? is it even possible? in the past we have asked on arrival but 9 times out of 10 it is already taken.

Hello,
I just reserved two specific units, first by calling the camp where I was asked to send an email to a person at SAN Parks. After a couple of days I got confirmation that I had been successful.
