Wow Gudzane. Thanks for the great advice. Am suppriesd I haven't seen the Punda pack because Mahooni is always on the list and I always spot the Lion pride there but not the dogs. Well I will defo visit Shing in November. Hopefully will see them there. Do you have any pics of the pack so I can identify them in my visit. For some reason am not a Red Rocks fan but will have to try it out again. Haven't been to RR in over a year now.

Kallis1786 we were also very surprised  when we saw the wild dogs on the Mahonie loop. We did not expect to see them at all in the Punda Maria vicinity. I think the saying being in the right place at the right time is very true . Just an interesting and somewhat comical experience we have had one day when we left the Mahonie loop to turn back into the main road towards Punda Maria. I must admit it was only when we were back at camp around the fire that night that it slowly started to look comical to us . I was for once the passenger and the driver stopped dead still looking left, right and left again for oncoming traffic only to suddenly stare right into the face of a lioness very close right next to the open window of our car on the passenger side. The car immediately stalled and driver frantically tried to get it started again but unfortunately the hands and feet were shaking very badly. None of us saw the lioness coming as she approached us so quickly and silently from what appeared to us from nowhere  . I would never advise anyone to get out there vehicle in Kruger where they are not supposed to as that experience further convinced us of the logic behind this rule. I do hope you will have many happy wild dog sightings in Kruger .

Hi Grantmissy. Thanks a lot. Am also convinced that being at the right place at the right time after hearing about Wild Dogs in Punda. Do you have some pics of the dogs . But one thing am sure of and that is Mahooni loop is pure Lion area.
