Hi Jen :D
Your correct that BG2 is in the A circle BUT it is also the code for those in the E and F circle! According to my map i got in December
and yes the perimeter bungalows is in the G Block numbered from 161 to 179, but according to my knowledge there code isn't BG2V but BD2V. Just stayed there in December and it says so on my resevation and camp map. Personally i like number 161 in the G Block best, because it's very close to the fence and the cam  Enjoy!

Bungalow Update:- :?
Just thought I would let you all know that Bungalow type BG2 is in either circle E or F.
BG2 does not have utensils or a kitchen but a Cutlery box is available for hire from reception at R10.00 per day. Apparently this can be arranged on arrival when you check-in.

Obelix wrote:Hi, does someone perhaps know where the Guest Cottages (GC6BD) are located in the camp, more specifically how close to the permimeter units in the G - block? Thanks.

Hi Obelix! I've made an enquiry for you - seems these cottages is located in Circle D and is not any near the G block. The D circle is just before the camping sites. Have a look at Satara camp map. Hope this helps

Hi all. Just a quick question regarding block G. I know they are all perimeter views but I would just like to hear some opinions about which you think are the best bungalows in block G.

Hi Junior1449,

all of them are great but my favourites are those a bit farer away from the restaurant / recption area nearly at the end of the G-block.

Enjoy your stay there

Hi Dotdan. The BD2N bungalows are in block A. I stayed in 1 of them end of May. They have been upgraded and are very nice. Even has microwave in. You won't be dissappointed. Also very nice barbeque facility.

All bungalows in in row G is great, but if you can get 170-176 as they are very close to the fence...If you want to get close to the waterhole you will have to try and get number 161, but that is right next to the restaurant and shops...

Satara - Perimeter bungalows (G-circle)

Unread postby Quickie » Wed Nov 12, 2008 11:33 pm

We have booked a perimeter bungalow for 6 nights over Xmas. None of these are specially adapted for wheelchairs, but fortunately I can manage without being able to physically get into the bathroom. As long as I can get to my bed, I'm OK. I want to request the unit with the lowest possible step. Do any forumites know the numbers units in the G-circle that have the lowest step or no step at all onto the verandah?

Thanks a lot.

38 sleeps to go to our first Xmas in KNP after visiting for 21 years!!

I would suggest that you contact Satara and ask them for the best possible option. They have very capable managers there and I am sure they will help you get the best place!

Hi Caramelo...

There is no doubt that the G block is great as you have a view of the bushveld, but there are another little secret area that I like.

That is the newly renovated block A especially numbers 10-17 which are on the fence as well but the are just not facing the bush. At night you can still watch the fence and we have seen Elephants and Buffs come right up to fence there.

Here is a photo of the newly renovated bungalows

This is how close the Ellies came to the fence at those bungalows...

Welcome to the forums Caramelo!

Have a look at this page. At the right there are photos of the bungalows and cottages. Click on them and you get to the page of that type.
It gives you the description of the bungalow, like this:
Bungalow (BD3B)

- 3 single beds
- Aircon
- Fridge
- Hotplate
- Sink
- Utensils
- Wc and shower

Base rate: R640.00, Adult share rate: R124.00, Child share rate: R62.00
Base rate number of people: 2, Max number of beds/people: 3

And includes photos, like this one (also the BD3B).

Hi Rooikat

As far as I know the only units that have been upgraded are the BD2 units in Block A. You will see them advertised on the availability screen as BD2N.

I will make a point of it to find out for you this weekend when I am there and let you know on Monday?

Petro Rossouw wrote:Have just returned from a very enjoyable trip to Kruger. We were pleasantly surprised with the upgraded rondawels in the B Circel. The inside is much more spacious than previously, and the decor very fitting to the bush atmosphere.
Congratulations, we will definitely return very frequently.

Hi there Petro Rossouw, we also stayed in the upgraded B circle. The bungalows are great. Herewith a few pictures from the outside:
