Yeah, Pafuri Camp is supposed to open again in April, but don't hold your breath!

Apart from some cleanup operations work has yet to start. The damage is extensive, and the baboons have had plenty of time to pitch in by de-thatching roofs etc.

Besides the wrecked camp, there is the small issue of game viewing tracks. The major ones along the Luvuvhu have been wrecked, and the airstrip is covered in a meter or so of silt, which will take a couple of million Rand to clear away.

The walking trails have been running as normal this past winter, and should resume again in autumn.

Pafuri camp how to book

Unread postby Bart47 » Thu Sep 18, 2014 4:45 pm

Thinking about going to Kruger in november and staying at Pafuri Camp would be nice.
But how to book this? Not possible through the sanparls site?
Thanks.

Hi Bart47,

Pafuri Camp belongs to Wilderness Safaris, but the floods 2 years back destroyed the camp.
As far as I know it has not been rebuilt yet.

Any news on the camp? Has anyone been to the new camp (http://www.returnafrica.com/activities/pafuri-camp/)?

I'm really glad to see someone rebuilt the camp. I really like the pafuri area and would love stay a couple nights there the next visit!
