I get so jealous when I see these cheetah pics on this road
With this road and the s28 having such a good cheetah reputation, looks like I'm going to have to go seek my cheetah at LS next year 8)

One of my favorite roads in Kruger :D
I enjoy the open grasslands dotted by the odd shrubs and trees! One of my best roads in the South for seeing Elephant! Had to do quite a bit of reversing

The Kings are around too

And perhaps with extreme luck!

And as one approaches the Tsokwane side you always feel there is a leopard watching you 8)
Still want to see cheetah there one day!

We have had some great sightings on this road over the years:
Lions man times, leopards on a few occasions, cheetahs on their own, in a twosome and trio, also with kills twice, serval, caracal, duke, reedbuck, ellies, ostriches and obviously lots of zebras, giraffes and other general game. We once drove to Satara for the day and on our way back encountered a massive herd of buffaloes stretching across at least a hundred metres of road and were forced to make our wat through them at a crawling pace. it wqs like the red sea parting and opening up for us to pass through. Almost forgot to add, three honey badgers running on the road in front of us.
