The views from both units are excellent

Enjoy.

GavinW - never camped at LS - but other 'Mites will help. The camping area is just behind the BD3U bungaloes and from what I saw each year, it looks as if everyone is enjoying it. The area is not near to a perimeter, but only a short walk from the fence.

I am almost sure :hmz: that you will be lucky  Keep on looking at availability, daily, and from February onwards, as many times a day as you can - good luck :D

If not, nr 15 is really OK.

Gavin, there seems to have been a lot of rain, so everything should be very green and lush.

I love November, mainly beacuse of all the babies. I love to keep my eyes peeled for the impie nurseries. Of course so does every lion, wilddog, cheetah and leopard.

It is the month where I have had record leopard sightings. Most of my leopard sightings have been in that area.

The Lower Sabie main road (known as Eloff street) should not be too busy, as it is not school holidays.

My favourite roads are the S28, great for Cheetah and the Salitjie road, the S30.

I do hope that you have a stunning stay.

Lower Sabie BD2U bungalow kitchenettes

Unread postby Wikusdutoit » Sat Oct 27, 2012 3:01 pm

Hey all

Does anyone maybe know what exactly are in the kitchenettes of the Lower Sabie BD2U huts ( bungalows at the perimeter along the riverbank).
Are there plates? Pots and a pan? Glasses?

Would help greatly if anybody maybe knows the exact content of these kitchenettes.

Hi Forumites
Does anyone know if the safari tents at Lower Sabie, that were damaged in the floods earlier this year, have been repaired?
Many thanks, Kite

Hi Kite

I am not 100% sure, but I think they must have been repaired by now :hmz:

You can phone the camp itself and confirm  - but other 'Mites may help you out on this one too. :D

Has anyone staid in safari tent no. 26 and has pics of the view / "balcony" ?

Apparently I have been allocated this unit. I requested about 10 other units which they could not help with so this must be one of the "least desirable ones", a bit disappointing but suppose they can't please everyone

I believe this is the tent that burnt down a while ago.

Thanks for some feedback.

KNP is sacred. I am opposed to the modernisation of Kruger and from the depths of my soul long for the Kruger of yesteryear! 1000+km on foot in KNP incl 56 wild trails.200+ nights in the wildernessndloti-indigenous name for serval.

On the camp map Moffat Guest House is indicated as (GMO) and Steenbok Guest House as (GSB). But where does a person find them on the list of accommodation availalability?

Don't know about Moffat but Steenbok is used by staff and doesn't seem to be available to hire.
