S60 from Punda to Klopperfontein, just past the junction S59
On your left.
This route takes you past several baobabs and steenbokkies.
According to the Punda sightingsbook sometimes cheetah can be found on this route.

This tree must have some stories to tell.....

I know one :D
Dutch visitor clutching his steering wheel, searching with his eyes on each little hill and tree trunk for the cheetah brothers, till his eyes were only seeing spots

I am sure the cheetah brothers will be kinder to you next time round, and hopefully the leopard and lion ones too plus a few others....

W&H could pass this tree tomorrow. And might bump into the brothers. 8)

The obvious one is the baobab on Baobab Hill, which we usually remember as it is seen either heading north or heading south. This just might be it, as seen from its eastern side, parked next to it on the road?

Completely correct! There is a plaque beneath it.
It could do wit a bit of a polish, but I had none with me.

And I still can't read it, .. but at least now I get the gist.

This baobab is one of the most magnificent specimen’s for me in northern Kruger and seen and admired by many traveling in these parts. Does anyone perhaps know the age of this tree?
