Please can someone advise on the following bungalows at Letaba.
BG2U No. 17, C circle next to restaurant. Are there plug points, sink in kitchen area of enclosed verandah, and what crocker/cutlery is supplied, or must one use communal kitchen facilities.
BG3U No. 22-24, do these bungalows have normal kitchen facilities ie hotplate etc.
Would really appreciate info.

A happy, healthy and good 2014 to you all.

Seasons greetings to you Fozzis!!!!

As far as I know, both those unit types have utensils, but no kitchen, so you will need to use the communal ones.

The units usually have one plug point (plus the aircon plug point if you're desperate!!!)

Hope that helps.

Thank you for reply Crested Val.
I am now totally confused. Accommodation Photos link mentions changes to bungalow description.
17-21 were BD2 now BG2U, 22-28 were BD3 now BG3U, but the availability page is completely different, even the photos show bungalows with open verandahs.
We are going to Satara in March, think we will do a visit to Letaba and go and have a look at the bungalows and that reception can sort out the booking codes.
Sanparks should really sort this out and give correct info, we visit KNP every year, done so for years, but I feel sorry for a newbie making a booking only to find it was not what they wanted. AND do not know about the forum, which when we made enquiries about a camp previously got really good advice.

Fozzis, just my one cent's worth of information - If you go to Parks (A-Z) on top of the page, go to Kruger National Park, select Letaba, click on accommodation, and you will find a clear description of what you can expect in every type of accommodation. Furthermore, go to reservations, then you get a list of accommodation types. Hover your mouse on the type of accommodation, and it tells you exactly what you will find in each and every type of accommodation. I really think their information is very complete, correct and clear.

You would find actual photos of many Letaba bungalows on Roaneric's thread "Accommodation photos"

Just a warning about the bungalows next to the restaurant. The restaurant will be undergoing renovations during March 2014 and there may be a lot of noise during the weekdays.

The codes that SANParks use for accomodation usually (but not always) can indicate what you would get. So a D tends to mean a kitchenette (hot plate and utensils) whereas G means communal kitchen. U means perimeter (V is view) and E tends to mean enclosed. I'm only aware of Skukuza have enclosed verandas though but I haven't stayed at Letaba for a while.

Here are some photos of BG2U number 17

And here are photos of BG3U number 23

Both use communal kitchens, but the units have a fridge and utensils. So you"ll have to use the hot plates and sinks at the communal kitchens.

Quote:
Features:

2 single beds
Aircon
Communal Kitchen
Fridge
No Smoking
Perimeter
Utensils
Wc and shower
