Lion/Buff kill sighting - Satara Webcam:
I was in contact with my colleagues at Satara and the buff was indeed killed by the lions and the carcass is quite close to the fence between the waterhole/webcam and the rest camp's fence.

Unfortunately it is out of view from the camera as it is obscured by the trees/shrubs :wall:

. The lions did not take cognisance of the webcam when they brought the buff down early this morning. I'll have to send them a memo to ensure better viewing for our cammers next time! :wink:

The lions left the carcass early morning as they were frightened by the spectators and other human activity in the rest camp. In my opinion the lions will not return because of all the human activity at the fence. They might return once the humans have left during the night.

Apologies for not being able to show you the dead buff on the webcam! I tried, but it is out of view.

Thanks to my colleagues at Satara guiding me and the webcam (via mobile phone) to the exact spot which is unfortunately not visible from the webcam :cry:
