My very uneducated guess would be a Natal Francolin, but I will leave it to the experts to confirm it for you.
KNP - 17 - 20 Oct 2014 (P'kop/ Croc Bridge/ Lower Sabie)
KNP - 8-16 Nov 2014 (Tamboti/ Mopani/ Shipindani/ LS/ Skukuza/ P'kop)
KTP - 26/12 - 2/1/15

Hello all

So pretty soon someone is prolly going to get a bit worked up because I'm not finding out what bird is what by myself. I have this Sasol app on my IPAD which really isnt that easy. Some really common birds just arent listed by the looks of things. Or the listing is a bit of a mystery to me. So, to start off I'll show you a bird that I do know. And then when you are comfortable that I have done some checking, I'll show you a bird that I dont know -which I quite possibly should know). Then you can all tell me what the bird is because on my recent trip to Tamboti I spend a long time just looking at these and others that look just like them but slightly different feathers and bare cheeks.

Ok so here is a lilac breasted roller.

Now tell me what this is please:

My guess would be a Natal Spurfowl Moobox, due to the lack of a yellow or red-eyering. But I am not an expert, lets hope one of them helps us out here!

Sorry for the bad quality of the picture, but it is the only one I have. I am struggling with this one's ID if someone could please help? Closest I can get, is a Natal Spurfowl, but I am not sure. This was taken in Kruger during October 2013.
