Pipit, Yellow-breasted

Unread postby wildtuinman » Sat Jun 08, 2013 7:36 pm

A real tough bird to find. Took me seven dedicated trips before I landed this one this morning.

A small pipit, perhaps even smaller than African Pipit which in non-breeding plumage show very little distinct features apart from the white retrices and the rich cream/brown breast. In flight the yellow armpits and white underwing can be seen in good light conditions.

Latest Lifer(s): Buff-spotted Flufftail, Tree Pipit, Dimorphic Egret, Lesser Jacana, Citrine Wagtail, Black-tailed Godwit
