Exciting - we will be around the Balule area in December and, though I suppose we will not have the benefit of stiffneck insider information, there is still am outside chance we could see a Pels. I have only seen it once in my life and the weird thing was that I was not even looking for it. I passed a large tree on the H10 and, for some unknown reason, happened to glance back into its shade. There, perched in all its glory was a Pels. At first I did not believe it, but after struggling to keep the binoculars still from overexcitement, there was no doubting the large size and unmistakeable head. Who knows if I will ever see another one, but Kruger has a way of blowing away the opposition, especially if the odds against are large.
