BB it was at Namaqua National Park.

BB I tell you that this bird caused a lot of debate when we saw it. We were part of a birding group at Kurisa Moyo lodge and a lot of people (myself included) thought this was a Greater. We were however assured by the long time guide at the site (David Letsoalo) that this is indeed a Lesser, and this was the eventual consensus reached :|

The width of the red chest band and bill length is a bit deceiving in the photo posted but size wise it was a very small bird compared to the Greaters I have seen before, so was really tricky.
Below is another photo of the same bird as it flew off into the trees :hmz:

Sorry for the interference. Yesterday on the social media I suggested that a Magoebaskloof sunbird could be a Southern not a greater, as IDed by one of SA's top birders. Maybe I was right. Maybe they are both seen there. Magoebaskloof is not really my back yard.
