KNP list went up + 4 with Dickinson's kestrel (Mahonie Loop), Fulvous ducks (Grootvlei Dam), Bushveld pipit (Mpongolo wilderness area) and Red-knobbed coot (Rhidonda Pan)

Now on 342

Sounds like a plan, just inform me way ahead of time as work has taken me prisoner for the next 2 months.

I will have to apply for parole or something to get out for a birding session.

281 it is.

Roberts lists 423 in their guide for Kruger (not including Lower Sabie's Mynas). Would be interesting to hear about sightings they didn't include.

Ps. Nvm found the accepted rare species list here on sanparks, that takes it up to 500 species in Kruger.
Guess I'll be going to Kruger for a while yet :dance:

Hullo - don't know if it is mentioned anywhere, but how many listed birds are there in total for Kruger? I am way behind, that I know! There is a bird group on facebook - "Birds of the Kruger National Park" (has a Lilac Breasted Roller as its group photo) where you can post pics and ask for ID help etc. If anyone wishes to join, it would be great. PS. Mods, dont know if I can mention it here, so please delete if not.

Hi there, don't know the exact number, but +- 500 species have been recorded within the KNP.
