Thanks for a headscratching challenge Micetta!!!!
I had to use both my book and google to check certain birdies from different angles to be sure about their I'd's... Especially nr 5,6,8 and 9 :hmz:
Can't wait for the next one :D

It is so easy Hilda, that you can do it with the left hand, while you are doing the Bird ID with the right :P

9/10 this time, very happy. Got one of the vultures wrong.....

Can I ask my fellow forumites - do any of you use the internet to assist with your challenges? I have done this on a couple of occasions where I've been totally stuck (and still got them wrong!!), but feel I'm kidding myself somewhat because in the field, all I would have is my reference book, so this is all I should use for the ID challenges. Or is that being a little too "purist"?

Hi Pawps :yaya:
There are now applications with the birding books on Tablets that I've seen poeple use @ picnic spots. And if there is signal when you have a sighting and want to check on the internet using your phone, why not?
I just feel that my book have at most 3 kiekies of a bird, I will not even comment on the bird books that has illustrations in as I can't see a resemblance to any bird then
Getting different views of certain birds on the internet helps a lot with ID'ing the birdies.
That is just my 2 cents worth.
