Hi Ducklings
I made a mistake on the Hatchling's challenge
Most of you said it was a Karoo thrush and I thought it was a Olive thrush
Johan van Ransburg kindly pointed out the difference to me. I thought Karoo thrushes ocurred further west and thus decided that the bird in our garden was a Olive thrush.

And the Karoo thrush

It taught me that totake anything at facevalue can be a grave mistake.
Thanks Johan for pointing me in the right direction

Thanx Sky and Johan

We don't mind, now we know how to spot the difference between them two.

I'm going to make these notes in one of my books!

If you really want an education, try these links for Olive thrush and Karoo thrush (as well as the links you find in these threads...)

It definitely is not easy to differentiate between the different kinds of birds in the same family!
