Hi Super Mongoose

Glad you are hooked  :)

You can PM until the day Sky posts his next challenge. #17 was posted on Thursday evening so you have a week to answer them.

If you need more time just give the teacher an apple :) or maybe

PM him to ask for a day or a few more hours.

OK - So my first foray resulted in 4/10 for Sky 17 and 7/8 for the Hatchling challenge. Was a lot of fun  and looking forward to the next one.

Ok guys, I've sent in my ducklings (and hatchlings) to Sky, it took me all night, did not sleep a wink..

It's turns out to be more addictive than chocolate and ice cream!!

[quote="Sky"]Hi Ducklings

Here are the answers to Sky 16
I said Don't be fooled by what looks obvious.
If I showed you this pic for nr 3 It would have been very easy
Image

The other birds that gave some problems were nr 1 , 5 and the BB
1 ) This bird is a Southern black flycatcher . The size and colour of the eye will rule out a forked tail drongo
Image

2 ) Greater Double collared sunbird - very little problems here
Image

3 ) Immature Southern bald Ibis
Image

4) Viloet-eared Waxbill - no problems
Image

5) Female Cape rock trush - The clouring on its breast distinguis it from the female Sentinel rock Thrush
Image

6) + 7) No Problems here
White-necked raven and a Cape Vulture
Image

8 ) Brown Hooded Kingfisher
Image

9) Southern Pochard
Image

10) Pin tailed Whydah
Image

and the BB a Juvenile Buff streaked chat. I also had to consult Johan van Rensburg to get this Id
Image

Thanks again for entering

So, I got my scores! Thrilled to bits!

Hatchlings: 7/8, and the the wrong one I only had the wrong sub specie

Ducklings Sky 17: 5/10 + the BB, and two of the wrongs ones I also had the wrong sub specie

Now to figure out my mistakes, the fun continues!

Thanx Sky for all the hard work so we can have fun! :gflower: :k

BTW, what does "BB" stand for?

Highland and Super Mongoose, well done on your hatchlings, and not too bad for the ducklings! Keep on trying and enjoy!

Louis Dreyer, well done on both!

I got 8/10 for Sky 17, and believe me or not, my BB was correct for a change! :D
