Hilda,

Very, very impressive!

Having reached 7/10 in the previous challenge (the first one ever for me) I tried this one with an embarressing result; only 5/10. Will learn a lot when the the IDs are posted.

Let's see if I dare to participate in the future.

What a brilliant start Birgitta.  Not to be embarrassed at all. I've had 0 sometimes!!!!!!!

Sometimes we get a challenge where the birds are fairly obvious  and then we get those where the view is more obscure :hmz: and then we get those where you have to recognise babies  and then we get ones that I've never heard of before :wall: :wall: :wall:

That's how my scores go up and down like yo-yos.

My answers are in

Thank you all! Luck was really on my side! :D

Birgitta! Welcome to the Bird ID Challenges! You have nothing to worry about! I normally get between 0 and 5 for my challenges, I cannot believe how lucky I was this time. Maybe because I read in my bird guides and on the Bird Index, and by chance got them all right! Please keep on participating! This is the only way we can learn about our feathered friends!

You are right Inyanga 1! It is very cold all over SA!

Challenge #26/2014

Good morning All

Well this is my first ID challenge ever posted so apologies in advance if this challenge is too easy - or too difficult  :D

I have only used my own photos here so did not have that many options to choose from but hopefully these can still test the old freezing birding brains :D :D

Because Hilda is on such a role lately :D :D I decided to focus on my own personal nemesis – LBJ’s (really nasty I know   ) so good luck to all :D

Enjoy

Well done Umtali
I think 5/10 is pretty much my average with this challenge as well, which is why I haven't really done lots of these this year, no time to spend paging...but just submitted my answers...holding thumbs that it is atleast a pass,... Onto Trevors challenge, eeeek it looks, well ...
