Afsaal Scops is still there. At one point (late 2005 or early 2006, can't remember), there were 2 there... mating season?

Recently (August?) 2 were pointed out to us at the Muzandzeni picnic spot (sw of Satara). Apparently they're "locals" there.

The "Afsaal" Scops was posing so beautifully for us last month, and causing much interest among all who were there. :D

Wonderful CR 8)

They are amazing and so small :D

We saw them ( like many forumites at Afsaal) in November 2005, November last year we have not been lucky . We looked for them , but were not able to discover them in the trees. :?

So these are pics taken in 2005 at Afsaal:

On 4 Aug 08 (and before that) the Scops at Afsaal was there again (I guess (s)he was just on holiday in January  )

There is also a resident Scops at Muzandzeni picnic spot (on S36 near Satara). Ask the groundskeeper to point it out to you

Great photo ... looks like he's sitting on one leg?

We also heard them all through the night at Talamati (Aug). But couldn't get a visual in the high trees :(
