Location: Chasing down the rarities
This one was seen just south of Satara last Thursday. They are formidable birds! It had caught and killed another raptor, from some of the other photos, it seems to be a Gabar or Dark Chanting Goshawk.

Rain can sometimes be a photographer's best friend. In this case it made this owl very reluctant to move, allowing me special up-close privileges...

I took these photo's at Letaba (along the walkway that runs along the front of the camp). Heaps of people sat and watched it. I think (hope) its a Verreaus (Giant) Eagle- Owl. Please someone with more knowledge ID itImage :D :D
