 Post subject: Lovebirds seen in Vaal Marina area, Vaal Dam, Gauteng

Hi all!

We were driving by the Vaal Marina 2 weekends ago when I saw a bird with a flash of green and blue. I knew it was some kind of lovebird and when I did some research into it, realised it looked just like a Rosy-faced Lovebird. There were 2 of them flying together and they were flying into and out of some palm trees in someone's garden.

Is it possible that these were in fact Rosy-faced Lovebirds that were way out of their range, or that they are escapees from someone's aviary?

I would appreciate any feedback :D
