Seen on the S127, close to Timbavati PS
(Feb'07)

In contrast with the Cape (Orange-throated) Longclaw, it has completely yellow (not orange-yellow) eyebrow, throat and underparts, but has the same black gorget encircling the throat.
Unlike its orange-throated 'cousin', it often perches on trees or bushes when disturbed.

Seen on the S3 just before the junction with the S1 near Phabeni. My only successful shot of this species so far.

Thanks for the tips on where to find it. I will look next time....

Hey Sharifa, I notice you are not on the batting order for 'how many birds on your list'. Count up and send it to Francoisd.

Could somebody please help me with this one? Could it be a Yellow-throated Longclaw :hmz: Seen in KwaZuluNatal!

Hi F.C.

Yes, I'd agree with your ID.

Kruger has certainly got to be one of the places with the worst light for photography.
