A trip to Central Mozambique boosted my list by a fair amount...species recorded went along the likes of East Coast Akalat, Western Violet Backed Sunbird, Bohms Bee eater, Basra Reed Warbler, Western banded Snake Eagle, Plain Backed Sunbird, African Broadbill, Collared Palm Thrush and more! My new total now stands at 642, breaking the 600 milestone mark

A February trip to The Outpost saw us getting a few ticks:

761 - Violet-backed Starling (Witborsspreeu)
201 - Harlequin Quail (Bontkwartel)
72 - Squacco Heron (Ralreier)
134 - Lesser Spotted Eagle (Gevlekte Arend)
303 - Bronze-winged Courser (Bronsvlerkdrawwertjie)
375 - African Cuckoo (Afrikaanse Koekoek)
412 - African Black Swift (Swartwindswael)
432 - African Pygmy Kingfisher (Dwergvisvanger)
440 - Blue-cheeked Bee-eater (Blouwangbyvreter)
450 - Broad-billed Roller (Geelbektroupant)

And then a recent trip to our local Rietvleidam added another 3 ticks

520 - White-throated Swallow (Witkeelswael)
315 - Grey-headed Gull (Gryskopmeeu)
635 - Lesser Swamp Warbler (Kaapse Rietsanger)

Which brings our new total to 393. Approaching the 400's slowly but surely. End of April we'll be visiting Golden Gate and the Drakensberg. Hopefully we'll get a few more there...

As promised in post #2012 on 23 Feb 2014, our big audit has been completed after finding a few of our lists from Goukamma, Mokale and other Western Cape sites.
I am on 599 and my better half on the same number! I have two lifers which she does not have and she has two that I don't have.

Please add me to the list. I will get her to register.

Looking forward to our first visit to Xai-Xai in Mozambique at the end of the month, hoping to add a few megaticks!
